Quality Assurance System

To help us to conduct our business with quality, safety, and environmental standards, the Quality Assurance system plays a key role within Helsinn.

World-class Quality Assurance is critical across several areas, including production and product logistics, management of our API projects (both internally and for third party CMOs) and for our extensive worldwide R&D activities. All our manufacturing sites follow the most stringent global quality, safety and environmental standards. Helsinn has been certified by several governmental agencies and organizations through an impressive program of quality audits and inspections aimed at certifying our company to Good Practices (GxP) rules and regulations and to ensure its compliance. Further, a Quality Manual has been adopted throughout the company, which defines policies and requirements to be followed in order to maintain a GxP compliant quality system.

Suppliers’ Code Of Conduct

This Global Supplier Code of Conduct (the “Supplier Code”) describes the principles expected of our Suppliers in the conduct of their business, an expectation which comprises an important component of Supplier evaluation and selection. Suppliers should also apply these or similar principles to the partners with whom they work in providing goods and services to Helsinn. Fundamental to this Supplier Code is the shared belief that business should not only operate in compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, but that our behaviours address underlying societal concerns.

Compliance Program

To help us to conduct our business with ethics and integrity, Helsinn has established and maintains a Compliance Program, which requires compliance with the laws and industry codes wherever we do business.

Compliance has a number of key responsibilities within Helsinn, including running the Compliance Program, developing standards of conduct, policies and practices, auditing and monitoring activities as appropriate (then implementing corrective measures as necessary), identifying and addressing risks. The business conduct by and for the company should be based on responsibility and ethical behavior. Our Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, ‘the Helsinn Code of Conduct’, is a key document and establishes the standards we must observe. It is a concrete sign of our approach towards an ethical and sustainable way of doing business.

Helsinn Therapeutics (US) Compliance Program

Helsinn Therapeutics (U.S.) Inc. has established a comprehensive Compliance Program in accordance with the April 2003 “Compliance Program Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers” (“OIG Guidance”) and the “Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) Code.”
